Website rebuild and online booking for Leeds & Wakefield Skip Hire

How Digital XP rebuilt two skip-hire websites with online payments, customer self-service and a shared booking system. See the delivered project.

What needed to change?

Two neighbouring skip-hire brands needed websites and bookings that could be changed around the way the business operated. Their existing WordPress and WooCommerce setup carried features and plugin overhead they did not need.

How did we approach it?

We rebuilt both public sites and connected them to one purpose-built booking backend. Each brand keeps its own content and presentation, while the office works from shared booking rules and order management.

What can the business do now?

  • Customers enter a postcode, choose a skip and delivery slot, and pay online through a booking flow built for skip hire.
  • A private order link lets the customer request a collection, extend hire or manage an exchange and balance.
  • The rebuild included 39 local landing pages and 45 permanent redirects mapping previously indexed URLs to the replacement pages.

What matters for a similar project?

A website redesign can affect the booking system, customer records and URLs as well as the visible pages. Scoping those dependencies together made the website and office workflow part of the same build.
